D-Rex, a grumpy mushroom dinosaur with a spotted yellow cap, standing guard in a misty fern forest with beetles in the mud

Late Cretaceous. Damp corner.

D-Rex

He patrols the mulch like extinction reports to him.

Forest Law

  1. Stomp Every Puddle

Depth is irrelevant when authority is clearly visible.

  2. Roar Before Breakfast

Morning insects require a properly announced apex predator.

  3. Guard The Mulch

Anything damp belongs to the largest available cap.

  4. Never Measure Yourself

Scale only encourages unnecessary administrative disputes.

Ancient Enough

D-Rex emerged behind a damp log at approximately lunchtime. Since then, he has claimed three ferns, one suspicious pebble, and the entire lower compost heap. His cap provides shade, rank, and most of his apparent mass. The local beetles recognize no crown, but they do change direction when the chunky feet begin their patrol.
